Business Works

I’m the “old man” of the business network group that used to meet in the Scottish Mining Museum, in Newtongrange every Tuesday morning, having been a member for around 13 years.  We found that the pressures of pushing for new members and / or referrals, and the  increasing  “American style” format, was actually a discouragement to both potential and existing members.  We decided to take matters into our own hands and close the group, but the positive relationships we had built up were too good just to walk away from so we decided to do it ourselves and so BusinessWorks was formed.   

About Me

In the last 30 years, I have worked as an Accounts Clerk, Management Accountant, Finance Controller, Company Secretary and Finance Director for Local, National and International companies. I’ve worked in many industry and service sectors, including Advertising & Marketing, Food Manufacturer, Courier, Insurance  industry.

I started Conquest Business Services, 14 years ago, to bring national accounting & administrative standards to small & medium sized businesses in a cost effective way.
